Yes yes, it’s been summer full of performances, parties and beautiful people. That time is not coming to and end, but it is slowing down as my attention is drawn to finishing the different and yet unnamed studio albums that you will be reaching you asap.

 In the meanwhile, I will be accompanying the project Changebeats to Tanzania in a couple of weeks. This is a very inspiring for me, to be able to make music that means somthing to people across the globe and being able to perform it there. Check the website and read more about this project!

UNOM - Bus Pass

Aight, it’s summer in the Netherlands and for those of you surfing in from other parts of the world, it’s a sticky heat here. Anyways, some summer performances posted on the  ONSTAGE page, check it out.

This summer, i’m going to working on the follwing projects: Album with Neo(Neo & Manu), Ep with Dr Ernst(Kop en Ernst) and not forgetting the dutch folks songs that i’m writing accompanied by Hylke. The progress and previews of the songs with Hylke can be seen on youtube, hahaha curious? ( Ssearch: unom and hylke) We and others will regularly post sessions on youtube and maybe you will see us in a park near you

This sunday 5 juli, Kwakoe in Lounge tent at 6pm and party with my after at Dubcity at 10pm in the Bitterzoet. (yes the same day :P)

Welcome on in y’all, it’s 2009 and this is my first post since last year. Just like the world my life keeps changing and different oppertunities keep presenting themselves. I have made new connections which have kept my productivity supplied with enough sources and i’m going to diplay them on a stage near you.

My first new connection is with a friend of mine that I haven’t seen for 7 months and one day I ran into at a mutual friends birthdayparty. I met up with him at his house the following week, he got his guitar, I started singing and we have created a small performanceset comprised of songs in which a dreamers battles with life and love in modern times. 

Next, “Ujudge The Market” my debute concept album is done, finished and completed. Yeah!!! Three cheers. The first videoclip has already been shot for the first single “Memwars” from the album. “Memwars” is my maybe favourite track, because in it i get to take, you the listener with me in my world of thoughts that spawn time and space and gahter in my mind. Be on the look out for that, it will be coming at you soon. The clip was shot my brother T. Martinus of NonEmployees. Be on the look out for all of the above and more.

Last but not least our third performance play with the Poetry Circle Nowhere( yeah we have a website!) that is going to be premiering in two weeks in  het Rozentheater in Amsterdam. It is a journey that will test the boundries of poetry in it’s quest to find the most honest authors that are willing to give it a place in their poetry and speak with it’s realistic tone. Come and check out “Die Maar” the 25th and 26th of april in het Rozentheater at the late night viewing at 10:00pm and get a front row seat to young talent at the pioneering end of the spokenword uprise! No no no it’s not Knight Rider, but it stands for Keeping In Touch. The last couple of months, since september, I did not post anything on my own website. I know how could I let it get this far? The world around us all keeps me in busy body mode with Ik lees Bookclub, Poetry Circle Net Niet 2 and a lot of yet unamed projects with lots of different producers.

Let’s start with the music. I am going to be performing less in 2009( this is what i am saying now) so I can record my first poetry pieces and compile the music I have recorded the last couple of years for you. Net Niet 2 was a succesful venture accomplished in a very short time with my talented friends/poets of the Poetry Circle nowhere. I’ll try and find some pictures, once i have i’ll upload them and the video that was made of the night. Last but not least the Ik Lees Bookclub. “Yeah, I’m like Oprah” that’s what i have been telling everybody when i tell them i’m hosting a bookclub in BLAAC. A little afro carribean bookstore in Amsterdam where 2 nights a month a disscuss books with a group of the ten youngsters like myself. We see how our paths cross in a world that actually only exists in our minds when we have all read the same book and hear what we keep/change/distance ourselves from what the pages present. Click the links the find out more. Ok welcome back, I will be referring a lot the India and what I experienced for the 16 days (including my birthday) that I was there with a project against childlabour because it agknowledged what I already knew about the systems of the system. Ok then, the sun is shining today eventhough it has not been visable the past week here in the Netherlands. I have not had a chance to enjoy the rain much, cause i’m staying productive working on different projects inside. To name a few, with NEO of the brothers duo (Neo & Manu: Manu who has recently released his debut “de vloek op de overvloed”), Dr. Ernst,  Je Weet and with the Teledubbies. Today I got the news that I will be getting the chance to accompany the Landelijke India Werkgroep to India in august to help with their struggle against child labour.
